Jeremy Barfield promoted to Triple-A Pawtucket
Portland, Maine - The Boston Red Sox have promoted OF Jeremy Barfield to Triple-A Pawtucket. Portland's home run and RBI leader joins the PawSox tonight in Rochester, New York.

Barfield hit .288 (99-for-344) with 27 homers and 75 RBI in 92 games with the Sea Dogs. He joined the team on May 26th, after spending the first part of the year with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League. Barfield's 27 homers are the most since Portland became a Red Sox affiliate in 2003.
Jeremy was named a Year-End Eastern League All-Star and the Player of the Month for July. Barfield appeared in 30 of 31 games in July: .336, 12 HR, 33 RBI, 78 total bases, all franchise records for any month.
