Toledo's favorite son, actor Jamie Farr, will be in town for MAS*H Tribute Night on Friday, August 25. Before the game the Mud Hens will host a special ceremony to honor Jamie by inducting his character Corporal Klinger into the Celebrity Hall of Fame at Fifth Third Field. The first 2,000 fans entering the ballpark will receive a free Corporal Klinger bobblehead, courtesy of Subway, Buckeye Broadband and WSPD.
Played by Toledo native Jamie Farr, Corporal Klinger was originally introduced as a bit character on the show MASH, but quickly became a regular. Known for wearing women's clothing to try to get discharged from the Army during the Korean War, Klinger also reminisced about his hometown Toledo, including mentioning the Toledo Mud Hens.
