Soto, MLB.com's #29 overall prospect, is one-week removed from winning the South Atlantic League's Player of the Week award, and through 16 games the outfielder has a .373 average with the Suns which is second-best in the SAL. He leads the league in RBIs (24), extra-base hits (13), slugging percentage (.814), and on-base percentage (.486). He's also tied for second in home runs with five, just one behind the league leader.
The 19-year-old played in 23 games for Hagerstown in 2017 before injuries shortened his season. He impressed during his time at Municipal Stadium by batting .360 with three home runs and 14 RBIs. Soto is the first Suns player to be promoted in the 2018 season.
