Seattle, WA: The Seattle Mariners today announced on Saturday that they had called up former Everett AquaSox Juan Then. It marks the first MLB call-up for Then, who was promoted from the Arkansas Travelers where in seven relief appearances he was 1-1. Juan got the call in the top of the seventh inning to make his big-league debut against the Houston Astros and managed to get all three batters he faced out.
A member of the 2019 and 2021 Everett AquaSox teams, Juan is currently ranked as the #23 prospect in the Mariners system. He is the fourth former AquaSox to make his debut this season joining Bryce Miller, Jose Cabellero, and Levi Stoudt. He is also the 10th player from the 2021 team to appear in the big leagues.
