JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After losing three straight, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp got back in the win column with a 1-0 win against the Durham Bulls Saturday night in front of 7,639 fans at 121 Financial Ballpark.

After being held scoreless through the first three innings, Jacksonville (38-33) drew first blood with a run in the bottom of the fourth. With one out, Charles Leblanc was hit by a pitch and then went to second on a single from Erik González. Two batters later, Billy Hamilton, making his Jacksonville debut, doubled to score Leblanc from second and give the Jumbo Shrimp a 1-0 lead.

The Jacksonville pitching staff held strong through nine innings against the Durham Bulls (38-33). Nick Neidert (W, 1-0) spun a season-high five scoreless innings with a season-high six strikeouts. Huascar Brazoban tossed two scoreless innings, adding three strikeouts. George Soriano and Robert Garcia (S, 6) each tossed one scoreless inning, keeping the Bulls offense quiet to secure the win.

Jacksonville and Durham wrap up their series with a 3:05 p.m. first pitch set for Sunday. Coverage begins at 2:50 p.m. ET on ESPN 690, espn690.com and MiLB.tv.

The Jumbo Shrimp hit the road next week for a series with the Memphis Redbirds. Jacksonville returns home for a game on Monday, July 4th at 7:05 p.m.

Gates open tomorrow at 2:00 for Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday. Fans can enjoy pregame catch on the field for the first 20 minutes after gates open. Tomorrow is also Military Appreciation Night at the ballpark and the Jumbo Shrimp will be wearing their Patriotic jerseys that are currently up for auction!
