The Kingsport Mets earned a big win and a series victory as they defeated the Bluefield Blue Jays 10-4 on Tuesday evening.
Early on it appeared as though the Blue Jays (31-22), owner of the second best record in the Appalachian League, would run away with the rubber match.
Bluefield scored a pair in the first and second innings and pounded out six hits in the opening two frames, taking a 4-0 advantage into the third.
However, the third inning would be the turning point.

When Taveras got rolling on the mound, the Kingsport bats got hot at the dish.
The K-Mets (28-25) exploded for seven runs in the third to turn the game on its end.

The Mets will observe the league-wide off day tomorrow before they hit the road for a six-game, five-day road trip. The Mets will play three games in Pulaski Thursday-Saturday, before finishing the trip off in Greeneville with a doubleheader Sunday and a single game Monday.
Then the Mets will finish up their 2018 home campaign with a six-game home stand starting next Tuesday
