McClure, 25, went 3-4 with a 3.82 ERA in 15 games (all starts) with the Barons this season (68.1 IP/77 SO). Most recently, McClure allowed just two hits and struck-out seven batters over six shutout innings against the Mississippi Braves on August 4. He earned the Double-A South Pitcher of the Week Award on Monday, August 9.

Originally drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the sixth round of the June 2017 First-Year Player Draft, McClure was a non-roster invitee to White Sox spring training this year. He entered the 2021 season ranked by Baseball America as the number 18 prospect in the White Sox system.
