Kingham tossed his second complete game shutout of the season last Friday night (May 31) at Osceola County Stadium against the Palm Beach Cardinals to claim the award. He surrendered just two hits, one walk, collected four strikeouts, and threw 103 pitches over nine innings in a 7-0 victory for the Fire Frogs.
The former Texas Longhorn also blanked Lakeland back on May 1 in a 2-0 Florida triumph, scattering three hits and five punchouts while throwing just 85 pitches. He was working so quickly that the game took 96 minutes to play on that night.
Kingham became the first pitcher in Fire Frogs history to notch a nine-inning complete game shutout on May 1. The Florida staff would go on to throw three complete game shutouts during the month, including RHP
With today's news, Kingham became the second Fire Frog this season to win an FSL Pitcher of the Week award, joining De La Cruz for the period of May 13-19.
The Fire Frogs begin a seven-game road trip on the road in Fort Myers against the Miracle tonight at 7 p.m.
