Peter Lambert earned the win for the Isotopes in his Triple-A debut. The 21-year-old was impressive during his 6.0 innings on the mound. Lambert allowed two runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking none.
At the time of his promotion, Lambert was leading the Double-A Eastern League in ERA, innings pitched, WHIP, fewest walks per nine and fewest baserunners per nine innings. Lambert is ranked my MLB.com as the Rockies third-best prospect.
While Lambert led the way on the mound, Ryan McMahon led Albuquerque at the plate. The 23-year-old finished the night 2-for-4 with three runs scored, two home runs and four RBI.
The Isotopes and Rainiers are back in action on Thursday at Isotopes Park when Jeff Hoffman is scheduled to toe the rubber for Albuquerque. First pitch from Isotopes Park is set for 6:35 p.m.
