His 44 hits over the span are the fifth most in the farm system. He also has the second-most runs scored (34), and the third-most stolen bases (16) over his last 33 games. Lawlar will start at shortstop for the National League squad and hit second in the lineup.
Bliss currently ranks as the D-backs’ no. 29-rated prospect and has been one of the most dominant players in all Minor League Baseball in 2023. Bliss leaves for the Futures Game hitting .358, the fourth highest AVG among all qualified full-season minor league players. He leads the minors with 105 hits and was the first player in Minor League Baseball to get to a 100-hit season in 2023, doing so on July 3. Bliss also ranks tied for third in total bases (174) and runs scored (67). His 41 XBH through 68 games is tied for sixth-most, and his 25 doubles are tied for eighth in all Minor Leagues.
