Los reyes del sur no han dejado de escatimar esfuerzos, por seguir conformando un equipo altamente competitivo que luche por el campeonato y le brinde más satisfacciones a sus seguidores, por lo que ahora dan a conocer la importante adquisición de Vizcarra, quien los llevó hace unas campañas a conquistar su último campeonato en el máximo circuito mexicano.
El “Chapo” es considerado uno de los mejores dirigentes contemporáneos, en tener un imponente historial donde prácticamente lo ha ganado todo tanto en la pelota veraniega e invernal, por lo que su experiencia y estilo de juego se alinearán perfectamente al plan de la organización.
“Mérida es una ciudad que me encanta y en el equipo tengo una muy buena relación y amistad con los directivos y jugadores, conozco a la mayoría y son un tremendo grupo”, comentó Vizcarra, quien se incorporará al equipo en los próximos días.
El 'Clásico Peninsular' llega a la Cueva
Mérida, Yuc. (leones.mx) 30 de mayo de 2022.- Los Leones de Yucatán y Piratas de Campeche se verán las caras este martes, miércoles y jueves en el Parque Kukulcán Alamo, tras ser confirmado como sede por la LMB para esta edición del Clásico Peninsular.
La fiesta del rey de los deportes continuará en la cueva de martes a jueves, a las 7:30 pm, y todas las damas entrarán gratis en Alta Azul, Alta Verde, y Bleachers; además, los aficionados disfrutarán la Zona Picnic en Bleachers donde ingresarán al comprar una bebida en el acceso, y podrán meter sus alimentos favoritos en esa zona.
En la primera batalla que tuvieron ambos hace unas semanas, los filibusteros se llevaron la serie por lo que las fieras llegarán a este enfrentamiento con sed de desquite, y más motivados que siempre al venir de consumar una demoledora victoria el fin de semana en Veracruz.
En pitcheo colectivo los campechanos tienen una efectividad de 5.85 ERA, con 184 ponches, 343 imparables y 176 carreras limpias admitidas. Francisco Haro, es uno de sus mejores lanzadores con 5.15 ERA (2-4), 22 ponches y 21 carreras limpias en 36 entradas innings lanzados.
Su ofensiva ha acumulado 320 imparables, entre ellos 30 cuadrangulares para hacer 168 carreras, con un porcentaje general de .295 AVG. Sus mejores bateadores son Yeison Asencio con .374 y Ramón Ramirez con .365.
Por su parte, los selváticos acumulan 194 chocolates en 33 encuentros, de los cuales han recibido 149 carreras limpias. Su estrella de pitcheo sigue siendo Mike Fiers, quien ha lucido en la loma con su efectividad de 2.68 ERA y un paso invicto.
Los mejores al bat por las fieras son Yadir Drake .296 AVG con 37 imparables, 21 carreras anotadas, cuatro cuadrangulares y 20 carreras producidas. Seguido de Walter Ibarra quien ha estado activo y ha conectado 29 imparables, ocho dobles y 21 carreras producidas. Recalcando que desde hace 15 días el gigante Art Charles le pega a la bola para .338 AVG, con 20 imparables, y 8 cuadrangulares.
Para este martes abrirá Jake Thompson (2-2, 6.58 ERA), quien enfrentará a Francisco Haro (2-1, 3.74 ERA), el miércoles iniciará por los melenudos “El Hombre Fuego” Mike Fiers (3-0, 2.68), contra el pirata Elián Leyva (2-3, 7.00), y el jueves lanzará el venezolano Henderson Álvarez (2-1, 4.35 ERA) ante el filibustero yucateco Manuel Flores (2-4, 5.15 ERA).
