LMB: Así se jugará la Liga Invernal Mexicana en su temporada 2022

Ciudad de México (www.lmb.com.mx) 30 de septiembre de 2022.- La Liga Mexicana de Beisbol (LMB) presenta la Liga Invernal Mexicana (LIM) 2022, la cual se dividirá en tres zonas: Norte, Centro y Sur. Su objetivo es impulsar a los jóvenes talentos de los clubes participantes.
Al respecto, el Mtro. Horacio de la Vega Flores, Presidente Ejecutivo de la LMB, afirma: “Aplaudimos el esfuerzo de las Organizaciones que forman parte de la LIM 2022. De igual manera agradecemos a las autoridades del gobierno del Estado de Yucatán, a sus municipios anfitriones, así como al municipio de Poza Rica, Veracruz, promotores del desarrollo de nuestros jóvenes talentos.
En este circuito se forjó hace algunas temporadas Alejandro Kirk, hoy, estrella del beisbol en Grandes Ligas. Los aficionados podrán apreciar a los peloteros que en un futuro cercano brillarán, jugadores que serán fuente de inspiración, de ahínco y profesionalismo de aquellos que los antecedieron, y que actualmente son figuras del beisbol mexicano”.
Los 14 equipos y sedes para esta campaña son:
Zona Norte
- Acereros de Monclova – Estadio Monclova, Monclova, Coahuila.
- Algodoneros de Unión Laguna – Estadio de La Revolución, Torreón, Coahuila.
- Sultanes de Monterrey – Estadio Mobil Super, Monterrey, Nuevo León.
Zona Centro
- Combinado de Diablos Rojos del México y Guerreros de Oaxaca – Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú, Ciudad de México.
- Combinado de El Águila de Veracruz y Bravos de León – Estadio Heriberto Jara Corona, Poza Rica, Veracruz.
- Pericos de Puebla – Estadio Hermanos Serdán, Puebla, Puebla.
Zona Sur
- Combinado de Olmecas de Tabasco y Mariachis de Guadalajara – Parque de Beisbol Miguel Hidalgo, Progreso, Yucatán.
- Combinado de Toros de Tijuana y Rieleros de Aguascalientes – Campo de Beisbol Aureliano Centeno, Valladolid, Yucatán.
- Generales de Durango – Campo Juan Rivero Alonzo, Tizimín, Yucatán.
- Leones de Yucatán – Parque de Beisbol Eliseo Gómez, Umán, Yucatán.
La actividad de la Zona Norte y Zona Centro iniciará el 12 de octubre; el 13 de octubre en el Sur, culminando en el Norte y el Centro el 28 de noviembre, y en el Sur el 27 de noviembre. Los clubes del Norte y del Centro tendrán 24 juegos, mientras que los del Sur un total de 28 encuentros.
Los juegos del Centro serán de miércoles a domingo, con excepción del último del rol entre Pericos y el combinado de El Águila y Bravos pactado para el lunes 28 de noviembre. Los del Sur se disputarán de jueves a domingo. En la Zona Norte habrá juegos salteados con un máximo de dos días de descanso.
Todos los equipos de la Zona Sur jugarán en distintos municipios de Yucatán: Umán (Leones de Yucatán), Tizimín (Generales de Durango), Valladolid (Toros de Tijuana y Rieleros de Aguascalientes) y Progreso (Olmecas de Tabasco y Mariachis de Guadalajara).
En la Serie del Príncipe se definirá al campeón y se coronará el mejor de cinco encuentros que serán del 3 al 8 de diciembre, cerrando en casa del mejor posicionado. Al compromiso por el título clasifican los dos mejores en porcentaje de ganados y perdidos del campeonato, sin importar la zona a la que pertenezcan; en caso de igualdad, se definirá vía diferencial de carreras. Si un equipo participante de la Zona Sur llegara a esta instancia, jugaría en el Parque Kukulcán Álamo, casa de los campeones de la Serie del Rey 2022, Leones de Yucatán.
Los rosters estarán conformados por un máximo de 28 peloteros de las listas de reserva de la LMB, así como jugadores autorizados por la Oficina de la LMB y que estén en proceso de firma. El límite de edad es de 25 años, con un máximo de seis jugadores libres, entre los cuales podrá haber tres extranjeros.
El actual campeón defensor de la LIM es Acereros de Monclova, tras derrotar en cinco juegos a Pericos de Puebla en la temporada 2021.
