Long leads BayBears to second shutout of series

BILOXI, Miss. (August 23, 2017) -
Long (8-6) tossed seven innings for the second time in his professional career. He held Biloxi (64-61 overall, 28-28 second half) scoreless and struck out seven batters. Long has not allowed an earned run on the road since July 1 at Jacksonville, a total of 28 2/3 straight innings. His 2.62 ERA is now the lowest among qualifiers in the Southern League.
The BayBears (60-67, 30-28) broke a scoreless tie in the top of the sixth.
