Hartman activated, Higuera joins from Vancouver

LANSING, Mich. - In conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, the Lansing Lugnuts announced Saturday that pitcher Nick Hartman has been reinstated from the Temporarily Inactive List and pitcher Juliandry Higuera has been transferred to the Lugnuts' roster from Short-Season A Vancouver.View the Lugnuts' updated roster.

LANSING, Mich. - In conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, the Lansing Lugnuts announced Saturday that pitcher Nick Hartman has been reinstated from the Temporarily Inactive List and pitcher Juliandry Higuera has been transferred to the Lugnuts' roster from Short-Season A Vancouver.

Higuera, 22, had struck out nine batters in 4 1/3 innings for Vancouver to begin the year. This is the Venezuelan left-hander's first trip to the Midwest League.

The moves fill the Lugnuts' official roster to the maximum of 25 active players with four players on the Disabled List.

Tonight, the Lugnuts (0-2, 37-31) play the third game of a four-game series at 7:10 p.m. against the West Michigan Whitecaps (2-0, 47-22) at Fifth Third Ballpark. Lansing returns home on Monday, opening a four-game homestand against the Bowling Green Hot Rods.
