Nuts OF Denzel Clarke to play in 2022 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game

LANSING, Mich. – Lansing Lugnuts outfielder Denzel Clarke is among the top prospects selected for the 2022 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, July 16, Major League Baseball announced today.
The 22-year-old Clarke, MLB Pipeline’s No. 14 Athletics prospect and No. 3 Athletics outfield prospect, becomes the fourth current Lugnut to participate in the Futures Game, joining Ángel Perdomo (2016) and Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. (2017).
A native of Pickering, ON, Clarke was drafted by the Athletics in the fourth round in 2021 from Cal State Northridge. He joined the Lugnuts on June 14 from Single-A Stockton, where he slashed .295/.420/.545 with 14 doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 14 stolen bases. He has two doubles and two home runs through 13 games with the Lugnuts.
