Summary
Akron's Luigi Rodriguez launched a three-run homer in the 10th inning that led the 1st-place RubberDucks to a 4-1 victory over the Harrisburg Senators Thursday night at FNB Field in Harrisburg, Pa.
 

Turning Point
With two men on and one out in the 10th, Rodriguez drove a 1-2 pitch from Harrisburg right-hander Derek Self (1-1) out of the park to right field. It was Rodriguez's ninth homer of the season and gave the RubberDucks a 4-1 lead.
 
Winging It
All-star closer Cameron Hill came on in the 10th and recorded three straight ground balls to notch his sixth save in six chances. Hill made a winner of David Speer (2-1) who tossed 1.2 scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Robbie Aviles also weaved 1.2 scoreless innings in relief of Akron starter Luis Lugo, who pitched the first 5.2 innings and allowed just one run on four hits.
 
Duck Tales
Rodriguez was 1-3, with a walk. His three-run shot gave him 22 RBI on the season. Jordan Smith doubled in the fourth off Senators starter Derek Eitel, and scored on a RBI single by Francisco Mejía. That was the only run off Eitel, who lasted five innings. Eric Haase was 1-4, and started the 10th inning with a single off Self.
 
Notebook
The RubberDucks (43-38) took two out of three in the series…The Ducks held onto first place over Bowie (-1/2) and Altoona (-1.0), both of whom won on Thursday…Akron improved to 4-1 in extra-inning games…Time of Game: 2:41… Attendance: 2,887.
