OF Luis Robert has completed his Major League Rehab Assignment with the Charlotte Knights and was activated by the Chicago White Sox today. Robert, 24, appeared in eight games with the Knights on his rehab stint and hit .276 (8-for-29) with four runs scored, one double, one home run, three RBIs and two stolen bases.

Robert began his rehab stint with High-A Winston-Salem on Wednesday, July 21 and appeared in four games with the Dash. The Cuban native hit .250 (3-for-12) with one run scored, one double and three RBIs.

With the White Sox this season, Robert is hitting .316 (30-for-95) with 11 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple, one home run, eight RBIs and four stolen bases in 25 games.

1B/OF Gavin Sheets has been optioned to the Charlotte Knights from the Chicago White Sox. Sheets appeared in 25 games with the White Sox this season and was hitting .225 (20-for-89) with 10 runs scored, five doubles, six home runs and 16 RBIs. The 25-year-old has appeared in 41 games with the Knights this season and is hitting .292 (47-for-161) with 23 runs scored, eight doubles, seven home runs and 33 RBIs.

OF Luis González was released by the Chicago White Sox organization. He appeared in 40 games this season with the Knights and compiled a .241 batting average with 24 runs scored, four doubles, seven home runs, 20 RBIs and nine stolen bases. The 25-year-old entered the season ranked by Baseball America as the number 9 prospect in the White Sox system as rated by Baseball America.
