PEORIA, IL (June 12, 2017) - The Clinton LumberKings rallied with one out in the ninth inning to come from behind and beat the Peoria Chiefs 7-6 on Monday afternoon at Dozer Park.
Clinton (27-34) took an early lead in the top of the first inning when

McCarvel paced the Peoria offense with a 4-for-5 day at the plate, with two doubles, two runs scored, and an RBI.
The LumberKings chipped away with a run in the fourth and caught the Chiefs in the top of the fifth inning. Luis Rengifo slugged his second home run of the series to tie the game at four.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Chiefs broke the tie. A pair of Peoria doubles capped the rally bringing home their final two runs of the game.
Again, the LumberKings began to chip away. A Joe Rizzo RBI single in the seventh pushed Clinton to within one run.
The come-back was completed in the top of the ninth off Chiefs reliever
Bowen (0-2) was charged with his first blown save of the season and hung with his second loss of the year.
Jeffeson Medina (1-0) earned the win for LumberKings with 1.2 innings of work to preserve the win and gave Clinton their first four-game series win of the year.
