Davenport, IA (August 2, 2018) - The Clinton LumberKings ran their losing streak in Davenport to five games with a 4-2 loss to the Quad Cities River Bandits on Thursday night at Modern Woodmen Park.
The River Bandits (21-18, 61-48) took an early lead in the third inning and held on with strong pitching from their starter
In the bottom of the fourth, Quad Cites broke out for three runs to pull away from the LumberKings. Four hits in the inning lead to three runs with the final two runs in the inning chased home with two out in the frame.
The LumberKings only runs of the night came across in the top of the sixth inning.
Abreu was the only River Bandits pitcher to be used out of the bullpen and earned his third save of the season for three shutout innings of relief.
Clinton has now lost all five of their games played in Quad Cities this season.
