Nick Zammarelli III then tied the game in the top of the sixth. With two men out, and Johnny Slater running on the pitch, Zammarelli lined an RBI double to right center that tied the game at six.
Clinton then took the lead in the eighth. Louis Boyd worked a walk against Chiefs reliever Dewin Perez (2-5) to lead off the inning. Boyd then moved to third on a combination Slater single and double-play. He scored the go ahead run on a Ryan McCarvel passed ball.
