BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Braves (25-30) scored six runs in the first four innings on Saturday and beat the Biloxi Shuckers (33-22) at MGM Park 6-1. Alex Jackson homered for the second time on the road trip and Tyler Marlette collected three hits and two RBI in the victory.

Jackson lifted a Trey Supak (L, 0-1) pitch over the left field wall for his third home run of the season to start the top of the second inning and it was 1-0.
The Braves sent nine to the dish in the third inning and upped the lead to 5-0. Daniel Lockhart opened the frame with a walk and moved to third base on a single from Luis Valenzuela. Marlette and Tyler Neslony hit back-to-back doubles scoring Lockhart and Valenzuela. Jackson brought in Marlette with an RBI groundout and Connor Lien finished off the scoring with a double that plated Neslony.
The M-Braves stretched the lead to 6-0 in the fourth inning. Valenzuela doubled with one out and came in to score on another single by Marlette.
Enderson Franco (W, 2-4) made his eighth M-Braves start and earned the win with 5.0 innings of one-run baseball. The 25-year-old walked three and struck out four, scattering six hits over the start. Franco was sent back to Mississippi from Gwinnett on Sunday after he picked up a win for the Stripers last Saturday in Columbus.
The Shuckers scored their lone run to make it 6-1 on a two-out infield single by Trent Grisham in the sixth inning. The close play at first went the way of the Shuckers.
Corbin Clouse (2.0) and Chad Sobotka (2.0) combined for 4.0 scoreless innings behind Franco to secure the win.
Lockhart's 1-for-3 night at the plate pushes his current hitting streak to a season-high six games. He's also hit in 19 of his last 23 games. Marlette was 3-for-5 and has hit in 14 of 16 games.
