The Kansas City Royals announced a series of transactions on Thursday that affects their Triple-A affiliate Omaha Storm Chasers roster prior to this evening's series-opening contest versus the Nashville Sounds at Werner Park.

The Kansas City Royals announced a series of transactions on Thursday that affects their Triple-A affiliate Omaha Storm Chasers roster prior to this evening's series-opening contest versus the Nashville Sounds at Werner Park.

Right-hander Seth Maness has been activated after being outrighted to Omaha by the Royals. The 26-year-old has accumulated no record and 9.77 ERA (17 ER/15.2 IP) with eight strikeouts in ten appearances with the Storm Chasers. Over eight outings with the Royals, the righty compiled a 1-0 record and 3.72 ERA (4 ER/9.2 IP).
In addition, outfielder Bubba Starling was placed on the Disabled List retroactive to July 10. In 73 games with the Storm Chasers this year he has compiled a .252 average (66-262) with 33 runs, 13 doubles, one triple, six homers and 19 RBI.
In a corresponding move, outfielder Logan Moon has been transferred to Omaha from Double-A Northwest Arkansas. In 63 tilts with the Naturals this year, the 25-year-old has posted a .245 average (52-212), adding 26 runs, ten doubles, one triple, four homers and 21 RBI.
As a result of these transactions, the Storm Chasers' active roster stands at 25 players, in addition to four on the Disabled List.
Omaha begins their eight-game homestand this evening at Werner Park, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT versus Nashville. RHP Yender Càramo (2-6, 4.86) is anticipated to toe the rubber for the Storm Chasers, with the Sounds expected to give the nod to RHP Ben Bracewell (0-1, 1.93).
