Marco Luciano broke out in a big way for the Scorpions – homering twice and plating four runs during a 3-for-5 game. MLB Pipeline’s No. 5 overall prospect launched a three-run blast to left in the opening frame, crushed a solo shot to the same spot in the third and added a hard-hit single to right in the sixth. The 20-year-old was 2-for-13 with five strikeouts in the Fall League entering Tuesday's action. Second-ranked Red Sox prospect Triston Casas (MLB No. 18) reached base four times with a double, single and a pair of walks. Richard Palacios (CLE 14), Curtis Mead (TB 14), Jeter Downs (BOS 5) and Matt Dyer (Rays) found the seats for the Scorpions. Carson Taylor (LAD 30) lofted a solo blast in the fifth for the Desert Dogs, and the 22-year-old added a run-scoring knock in the sixth. More »

Eguy Rosario turned in a complete effort to help lift the Javelinas to their first victory of the campaign. The 15th-ranked Padres prospect collected a pair of knocks – including an RBI double off the left-field wall in the second – and made a few more dazzling plays at the hot corner. The 22-year-old also legged out an infield knock to third. Rosario hit .327 over 27 games in the Venezuelan Winter League last year and carried that momentum into the 2021 season, slugging a career-high 12 homers while posting a .281/.360/.455 slash line over 114 games in his first extended stint at the Double-A level. A pair of Phillies prospects helped close the door on the victory as Simon Muzziotti (No. 16) and Bryson Stott (MLB No. 97) notched run-scoring hits. Muzziotti laced a two-bagger in the fourth and Stott lined a single in the seventh. Pittsburgh’s 14th-ranked prospect Michael Burrows twirled three scoreless frames of relief for Peoria, working around a pair of hits while whiffing two. Spencer Torkelson (MLB No. 4) was the only Rafters player to notch a multihit performance. The top Tigers prospect singled and doubled in his first two at-bats. More »
