Isaiah Campbell Makes MLB Debut

Friday night, Isaiah Campbell officially became a big leaguer as he made his big league debut. He entered the game in the eighth innings and got the first two batters to fly out and then struck out Jake Meyers.
The Mariners called up right-handed pitcher Isaiah Campbell from Double-A Arkansas on Thursday. Campbell spent parts of two seasons with the AquaSox in 2021 and 2022. In 2021 he had 2.33 ERA over five games and 19.1 innings. In 2022, Campbell was one of the best closers in the Northwest League picking up 10 saves in 10 opportunities and posting a 0.82 ERA over 19 games and 33 innings.
This year in Arkansas, Campbell is 6-0 in 23 games with a 2.63 ERA. He is currently the #16 prospect in the Mariners organization.

Campbell has made 61 appearances and four starts over three seasons in the minor leagues. All four of those starts came with the AquaSox in 2022.
Born in Angra de Heroismo, Portugal, Campbell grew up in Kansas and played college baseball at the University of Arkansas where he earned the victory that sent them to the College World Series in 2018. The Mariners drafted him as a competitive balance pick in 2019, making him the 76th player taken overall in that year's draft

Campbell was the 2021 Dan Wilson Community Service Award winner which is awarded every year to a minor league player in the Mariners organization who does exemplary service in their community.
He is the seventh former AquaSox to make his Major League debut this season joining Bryce Miller (2022), Jose Cabellero (2021), Levi Stoudt (2021), Juan Then (2019, 2021), Brandon Williamson (2019, 2021), and Bryan Woo (2022).
