A first-round pick in 2014, Chavis put together a breakout campaign, hitting .318/.388/.641 with 17 homers, two triples and 17 doubles over 59 games with Class A Advanced Salem and earning a bump to Double-A on June 22. He continued to hit for power in the Eastern League, belting 14 homers while producing a .250/.310/.492 line in 67 contests.
The 22-year-old third baseman's 31 homers put him in a tie for fifth in the Minors, while his 68 extra-base hits ranked third and his 265 total bases placed ninth.
Beeks, the No. 17 prospect in the Red Sox system, also enjoyed his best season since he was taken in the 12th round of the 2014 Draft. The 24-year-old posted a 2.19 ERA with 58 strikeouts in 49 1/3 innings for Portland before making the jump to Triple-A Pawtucket, where he owned a 3.86 ERA with 97 punchouts in 95 2/3 frames.
