SOUTH BEND, Ind. - In an announcement today, the South Bend Cubs report that in less than three seasons as a Chicago Cubs affiliate, they have reached the one-million-fans milestone.
"Since the 2015 premier season as the South Bend Cubs, Four Winds Field has seen record-setting crowds," said Joe Hart, President of the team. "Having reached this milestone so quickly tells you why team owner Andrew Berlin worked so hard to reach an agreement with the Chicago Cubs. Andrew knew this is what the citizens of this region wanted, and he wasn't going to disappoint them."
"It feels good to know that our hard work on behalf of the fans in the region is appreciated," added Andrew T. Berlin, Owner of the South Bend Cubs. "Everything we do is for those who want and deserve this kind of entertainment experience in their hometown. I thank every single fan who supports the South Bend Cubs. And I want them to know that we're never done. We have big plans for the future."
