North Little Rock, AR-Anthony Misiewicz pitched eight shutout innings leading the Arkansas Travelers to a 4-3 series opening win over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Monday night at Dickey-Stephens Park.
Moments That Mattered

  • Misiewicz shut the Naturals down for eight innings, surrendering just four hits (three infield hits) and one walk while striking out seven. He threw 96 pitches in firing his fourth quality outing in five starts for the Travs
  • Arkansas scored twice in the fourth inning taking advantage of an inning opening error and another throwing error later in the frame. Kyle Waldrop singled home the first run of the inning and then Ryan Casteel plated the second on a fielder's choice groundout.
  • The Travs added runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Waldrop blasted a 405 foot homerun down the right field line in the seventh. In the eighth, Seth Mejias-Brean came up with a clutch two out RBI hit.
  • After Mauricio Ramos had hit a three-run homer for Northwest Arkansas, Ryan Kelly came out of the Travs bullpen and notched the final out to preserve the victory.
