Montilla Roughed Up in D-Braves Loss
DANVILLE, Va. - Michael Mateja drove in the Danville Braves only run in their 8-1 loss to the Greeneville Reds on Friday evening at Legion Field.

Mateja smacked an RBI single up the middle to narrow the D-Braves deficit to 4-1. The Chicago area native has driven in two since he moved to Danville on August 10. u1:p
But the D-Braves offense came up short as Greeneville posted three innings of two or more runs. u1:p
In the top of the fifth, Greeneville strung together three consecutive hits to open up a 2-0 lead.
Greeneville tacked on two more in the sixth with an RBI single and bean pitch from the D-Braves
The Reds blew the game open with a four spot in the top of the ninth. u1:p
Danville will look to avoid the sweep on Saturday at 7 p.m vs. Greeneville. First 500 fans will receive Chipper Jones "Crazy Train" bobbleheads. u1:p
