Moya, Reyes Awarded for April

Both players honored as the organization's overall player and pitcher of the month play for the Class A Kane County Cougars. Outfielder
Moya, 22, was sensational throughout April for the Generals. He allowed runs in just one of nine outings, picking up four saves while posting a 1.50 ERA. He struck out a batter in every appearance, punching out 21 batters compared to just five walks in 12 innings of work. Opponents hit just .146 against him.
Reyes, 22, is leading the Southern League in batting average through Monday's game. The switch-hitter posted a .346 mark in April with six doubles, two triples, a home run and 14 runs batted in. He had seven multi-hit games in the month and picked up a knock in 16 of the 20 games he played in. Like Moya, Reyes in his first season at the Double-A level after spending 2016 with the Visalia Rawhide.
Every month during the season, the Diamondbacks Player Development staff chooses the player and pitcher most deserving of the honors based on nominations from coaches at each affiliate along with input from the Minor League coordinators.
