Mud Hens hang on to even series against Indians

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo Mud Hens needed just three runs on four hits Friday to even the five-game weekend series against the Indianapolis Indians. 

Jacob Robson, Dustin Peterson and Kody Eaves each collected an RBI for the 3-1 win at Fifth Third Field. 
It's the first time Toledo has not lost against its International League West Division rival this season in seven meetings. 
The Mud Hens have now won five of their last six games. 
By the bottom half of the fifth inning, all of Toledo's outs were strikeouts from Indianapolis starter Mitch Keller. 
Keller entered the game with the second-lowest earned-run average among all active starting pitchers in the league. 
The Mud Hens were able to load the bases in the first on two walks and a single by Danny Woodrow, the closest they came to scoring before the seventh inning. 
In total,13 Toledo batters went down swinging to Keller. 
Tim Adleman got his fifth start for the Mud Hens this season since coming over from the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball on May 11. 
Adleman, 31, a former pitcher for the Korea Baseball Championship's (KBO) Samsung Lions, allowed just four hits in his five-inning outing. 
The native of Long Island entered Friday with the third-lowest WHIP among Toledo pitchers. 
Both clubs went to the bullpen to begin the sixth. 
Nine-year MLB veteran Carlos Torres, signed by the Mud Hens on May 26, went two innings in his fifth appearance this season. 
The second hit of the game and first batter on base since the second inning for Toledo came on a grounder into right field from Peterson in the seventh. 
Peterson homered in the previous four games leading up to Friday.
The Gilbert, Arizona, native extended his hit streak to six games in which he's gone 12-for-24 with one double, four homers and 11 RBIs. 
Peterson, with Eaves standing at first, reached third base after Daz Cameron's sacrfiice fly to center with one out. 
Toledo, who had the bases loaded for Robson, broke the scoreless affair with his 15th RBI of the year. 
The next at-bat for the Indians resulted in a triple and RBI single consecetively off Eduardo Jimenez. 
Jimenez, who got the win, has allowed an earned run in only two of his last eight relief appearances dating back to May 17. 
Peterson's sacrifice to left-center gave the Mud Hens the go-ahead lead in the eighth. Eaves followed up with a sharp RBI single to right field to bring home Willi Castro. 
Eaves gets his third RBI as a member with Toledo after starting 2019 in Double-A Erie. 
Picking up his fourth save of the year was Jose Cisnero. 
What's Next:
Gregory Soto (0-0, 10.80 ERA) is probable to start Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader against the Indians.
Opening pitch is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. (EST).
