Rondon made a spot start, yielding just one run in four innings.
Myrtle Beach was shut out for the 16th time this season, most in the Carolina League and one off the club record of 17 set in 2003.
The Pelicans return home for Friday's 7:05 p.m. first pitch to initiate a three-game series with the Lynchburg Hillcats. RHP
