The Nationals are wasting no time with Dylan Crews.

Crews, the No. 2 overall Draft pick in 2023 and MLB Pipeline’s No. 4 prospect, has been promoted to Double-A Harrisburg, a source told MLB.com's Jessica Camerato on Sunday.

The 21-year-old will be bypassing the High-A level entirely. And given how well he’s done in the Minor Leagues so far, it’s easy to see why.

After going 3-for-3 in his lone game in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League, Crews hit a scorching .355 through 14 Single-A contests. His stat line included five home runs, three doubles, 24 RBIs, 16 runs and a 1.068 OPS.

Crews’ promotion will put the Nationals’ top three prospects all on the same level. No. 2 prospect James Wood (MLB No. 7) and No. 3 Brady House (MLB No. 43) are already with the Senators.

MLB Pipeline expects Crews, an advanced hitter from the right side, to reach MLB as soon as 2024. The 2023 Golden Spikes Award winner as the best amateur baseball player in the country, Crews hit .426/.567/.713 for LSU, the eventual national champions. Teammate Paul Skenes, the No. 1 overall Draft pick to the Pirates, could also reach the Majors relatively soon.
