GAME 1: NH 5 - ERI 3/8 innings

GAME 2: NH 5 - ERI 4/10 innings
Despite being limited to just three hits in ten innings, the 'Cats stole game two thanks in part to a first inning run and a sixth inning homer that eliminated a one-run deficit.
Trailing 2-1 in the sixth stanza, Andrew Guilotte led off the inning with a moon shot that landed on top of the Erie Insurance Arena in left field to tie it at two. The homer was his first of the season.
Tied 2-2 after seven, both teams scored single runs in the eighth and ninth to set up a 4-4 tie in the tenth. A groundout moved the extra innings "bonus runner" to third then Heidt plated the eventual winning run with a sacrifice fly.
The series and the road trip conclude tomorrow afternoon at UPMC Park. First pitch is set for 12:05 p.m. and can be heard on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network.
