The Javelinas put together their most impressive offensive performance of the Fall League season in Tuesday's win over the Solar Sox. Led by Nick Gonzales (Pirates) and Bryson Stott (Phillies), who posted four hits apiece, Peoria racked up 17 knocks. Gonzales, MLB’s No. 62 overall prospect, went 4-for-6 with a quartet of singles, two runs batted in and one scored out of the No. 2 spot in the order. Stott (No. 97) finished a homer away from the cycle hitting behind Gonzales in the lineup, driving in four runs and scoring two more. Eight of the Javelinas’ nine starters registered at least one hit while four posted multihit games. San Diego’s No. 15 prospect Eguy Rosario homered, doubled and drove in six on a three-hit day while No. 27 Seattle prospect Cade Marlowe went 2-for-6 with a double.
On the other side, Blue Jays catching prospect Gabriel Moreno (MLB No. 32) continued his terrific AFL campaign by going 3-for-5 with a homer and a double out of Mesa’s cleanup spot.

Cubs No. 29 prospect Nelson Velasquez cracked a homer as well and went 4-for-5 with two RBIs. Miami’s No. 22 prospect Kameron Misner connected on a pair of homers while driving in three on a 3-for-5 performance. More »

Surprise 11, Scottsdale 2
The top five hitters in the Saguaros lineup combined for 14 hits en route to shellacking the Scorpions. Cincinnati’s No. 11 prospect Michael Siani put together his second consecutive four-hit day, homering and doubling while scoring four runs and driving in a pair. Around him in the order, leadoff man Nathan Eaton of the Royals went 3-for-6 with a double while Rangers prospect Justin Foscue (No. 83 overall) homered on his 3-for-6 day. Texas’ No. 7 prospect Ezequiel Duran posted his fifth straight multihit game and third straight with a triple by going 2-for-5 with a pair of runs scored.
Minnesota’s No. 14 prospect Matt Wallner smacked a solo homer to right in the second for the first of Scottsdale’s two runs. That hit was the only one allowed by Surprise starter Zach Haake, Kansas City’s No. 30 prospect, who struck out four while walking two over three innings. More »
