Maton played for the BlueClaws during the 2018 season, hitting .256 with eight home runs and five stolen bases. He was called up to the big leagues on Monday and immediately inserted into the lineup. He got his first big league hit in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Maton is the 107th player to go "From the Shore, to the Show." Last year, 11 former BlueClaws made their big league debuts including current Phillies Alec Bohm, Connor Brogdon, JoJo Romero, and Mickey Moniak.

Additionally, Maton is the fourth member of the 2018 BlueClaws to reach the big leagues, following Spencer Howard, Ramon Rosso, and Brogdon. He helped the BlueClaws reach the SAL Championship Series that season, where they lost to Lexington three games to one.

In Game One of the 2018 SAL Championship Series, the BlueClaws were trailing 5-1 in the top of the 9th inning when they hit back-to-back-to-back home runs to tie the game. Maton hit the third of the three home runs and tied a game that the BlueClaws would go on to win in the 11th inning.

The BlueClaws open the 2021 season, their first as the Phillies High-A affiliate, on May 4th against Hudson Valley (Yankees). Tickets are on sale now by clicking here.
