Today's honor marks the fourth professional All-Star selection for Ramirez, who was a Florida State League All-Star in 2013 and a Southern League All-Star in 2014 and 2015 with the Huntsville Stars and Biloxi Shuckers. Those selections were as a first baseman.
The all-time home runs leader in Shuckers history has continued to swing the bat well as a pitcher, hitting .333 with two home runs and six runs batted in. He homered in his first professional at-bat as a pitcher in early April, and in his last appearance on June 13 he hit a grand slam to help earn his fourth win of the season.
The Southern League All-Star Game takes place Tuesday, June 20 at Blue Wahoos Stadium, home of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. The Shuckers will be represented by Ramirez,
