North Little Rock, AR - Powered by a 1B John Nogowski grand slam, the Springfield Cardinals won their fourth straight game with a 6-4 victory against the Arkansas Travelers before 3,669 fans at Dickey-Stephens Park on Thursday night.

With wins in six of their last seven games and seven of their last nine, the red-hot Cardinals are above .500 for the first time this season, sitting in 2nd place in the North Division, just 1.0 game behind the Tulsa Drillers.

THE GAME TURNED WHEN
The Cardinals rallied with two outs and the bases loaded in the top of the 7th. With the game tied, 1-1, C Andrew Knizner battled out a go-ahead RBI walk that forced in LF Thomas Spitz from third base to make it 2-1. Nogowski then crushed a pitch to right field for the Cardinals first grand slam of the season, propelling Springfield into the 6-1 lead.

EVANS SAVES THE DAY
The Travs refused to go down easily, rallying for three runs against RHP Landon Beck in the bottom of the ninth. However, with the tying runs at first and second and just one out, LHP Jacob Evans (S, 1) navigated Springfield out of the jam with a fly out and a strikeout, slamming the door in the Cardinals 6-4 win.

CONNER IN CONTROL
After sitting down 16 straight Midland RockHounds in a dominant 6.0-inning scoreless performance last Saturday, RHP Conner Greene (W, 2-1) dealt 6.0 one-run frames tonight to collect his second straight win. The right-hander worked around four hits and four walks, striking out three.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
-CF Lane Thomas drove in his team-leading 11th RBI with a two-out single in the 3rd inning, driving in the game's first run

-C Andrew Knizner collected two hits in addition to his go-ahead RBI walk, pushing his team-leading batting average to .394 on the year

-3B Tommy Edman went 2x5 with two runs, improving his stellar average on the road to .429 (12x28) through seven games away from Hammons Field
