San Jose, California – The Fresno Grizzlies (2-0) remained undefeated as a Colorado Rockies affiliate, downing the San Jose Giants (0-2) 10-4 Wednesday night from Excite Ballpark.

Right-hander Mike Ruff (1-0) set the tone for the road team, hurling a career-high five innings. The 23-year old struck out four batters in his season debut. He didn’t need to be perfect though, as the Grizzlies offense supplied him with 10 runs on 11 hits. All nine Fresno starters reached base safely, with six picking up RBI.

The Giants lineup on the other hand, cashed in four runs on eight knocks. Alexander Canario once again led the charge, mustering two hits and a walk, bringing his average to .800 in the early portion of the 2021 campaign.
