Along the Train Tracks:
- Oklahoma City jumped out to an early 3-0 lead with three solo home runs through the first two innings. CF Andy Pages went yard in the first before DH Ryan Ward and 1B Kevin Padlo launched back-to-back dingers for the Baseball Club in the second.
- Round Rock got on the board in the fourth frame when 1B Dustin Harris hit a leadoff single, moved to second base on a passed ball, found third as RF Trevor Hauver grounded out and scored on a balk from Oklahoma City RHP Nabil Crismatt.
- The visitors extended their lead to 6-1 thanks to a three-run eighth inning. After a leadoff single from RF Drew Avans, Pages and 3B Trey Sweeney worked back-to-back walks to load the bases. Avans scored thanks to a sacrifice fly from LF Miguel Vargas and a double off the bat of Ward sent Pages and Sweeney home.
- Oklahoma City tacked on one final run in the top of the ninth as SS Jonathan Araúz doubled then scored on a single from Pages. Round Rock got two runners on base in the bottom of the inning but the 7-1 scored stood final.
E-Train Excerpts:
- Round Rock starter RHP Jack Leiter became the first E-Train pitcher to tally double-digit strikeouts during an appearance this season. The righty finished his 6.0-inning outing with 10 K’s and punched out every batter in the Oklahoma City starting lineup at least once.
- The Express offense struck out a season-high 13 times on Friday night. On the other side, the pitching staff struck out the Baseball Club 13 times, which ties the team’s season high.
- Round Rock 1B Dustin Harris recorded the lone multi-hit night for the Express, finishing 2-for-4 at the plate with one run scored.
