BELOIT, WI (August 10, 2017) - A two-run Beloit Snappers bottom of the fourth inning was enough to drop the Clinton LumberKings 4-1 on Thursday night at Harry Pohlman Field. Clinton (18-27, 49-63) tallied just one unearned run in the game to fall in the series opener.
The Snappers (26-19, 56-58) used three pitchers to hold the LumberKings to just one run. Starter,
Twomey (2-2) allowed the LumberKings only run of the game in the top of the third.
The LumberKings run had tied the score after Beloit tallied the game's first run with a
Inman (1-2) struggled to control the strike zone in his final inning of work. The righty walked three to load the bases and was then replaced by
Trailing 3-1, the LumberKings would tally just two more hits on the night.
