Pelicans take series opener in Winston-Salem 6-4

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (August 21, 2018) - After a 6-4 extra-inning win for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on Tuesday night over the Winston-Salem Dash from BB&T Ballpark, the second game of the doubleheader was postponed until Wednesday due to inclement weather.
With the game tied at 4-4 in the eighth inning, the Pelicans (57-69, 23-33) grabbed the lead for good over the Dash (75-49, 34-20).
After an RBI fielder's choice from Nick Madrigal gave the Dash a 1-0 advantage, the Pelicans took the lead in the fifth.
In the bottom of fifth inning, the Dash knotted the game up at 2-2 when
Peguero then capped a two-out rally for the Pelicans with a two-run single in the sixth, making it 4-2.
Winston-Salem stormed right back, tying the game in the bottom of the sixth.
The Pelicans take on Winston-Salem from BB&T Ballpark at 5 p.m. on Wednesday for the first game of a doubleheader. The Pelicans will send RHP
