- Pena allowed his only two runs on solo homers from
Kyle Overstreet andMichael Gettys . The righty lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and two walks, while striking out seven. - The Riders sent the go-ahead run to the plate in the ninth but Luis Yander La O flew out to the warning track to end the game.
- Frisco also had a good scoring opportunity in the seventh, putting the first two men aboard with nobody out but Major League rehabber
Matt Strahm navigated out of the jam to preserve the lead.
