Pericos: Leones se impone en duelo de batazos y se lleva la serie en seis juegos

(www.pericosdepuebla.com) 17 de agosto de 2022.- José 'Cafecito' Martínez rompió el empate en el octavo rollo, con bambinazo productor de tres carreras, para guiar a los Leones de Yucatán al triunfo por pizarra de 20-17 sobre los Pericos de Puebla, con esto los melenudos se llevan la serie cuatro juegos a dos, ahora los Leones se medirán a los Tigres de Quintana Roo y los Pericos a los Diablos Rojos del México.
Yucatán pegó cinco veces en la primera entrada, gracias a los bambinazos de Art Charles y Yadir Drake, el primero productor de par de anotaciones y el segundo de tres carreras, esto ante el pitcheo de Kurt Heyer.
En la parte baja, Pericos reaccionó de inmediato, al timbrar tres carreras; primero Danny Ortiz impulsó carrera, al recibir pasaporte con la casa llena, posteriormente apareció Antonio Lamas, hit al derecho para empujar las otras dos carreras.
En la segunda tanda, Leones timbró dos carreras más, con el sencillo productor de Luis Juárez y el rodado a las paradas cortas de Art Charles, sin embargo, en la parte baja, los locales le dieron la vuelta al armar racimo de seis carreras, inició el ataque Peter O'Brien con doble productor, después Alejandro Mejía disparó bambinazo con cuadrangular de dos anotaciones, fue seguido con otro jonrón, ahora producto del madero de Gabriel Gutiérrez y, finalmente Antonio Lamas pegó un bambinazo más, para darle la vuelta al juego, este último batazo ante el pitcheo de Yoanner Negrín.
La pizarra registró movimiento nuevamente en el quinto acto, con el segundo jonrón de la jornada de Art Charles, y los remolques de Josh Fuentes y Norberto Obeso, sin embargo, la ventaja peninsular duró poco, porque en la parte baja, Pericos volvió a tomar la batuta del encuentro, con los imparables, espalda con espalda, de Jorge Flores y Peter O'Brien.
En el sexto rollo, por enésima ocasión, los visitantes le dieron la vuelta al marcador; con la casa llena, Yadir Drake pegó de hit al central para fabricar dos anotaciones, con esto Yucatán tomó ventaja y, posteriormente, Josh Fuentes elevó de sacrificio para la décimo tercera carrera melenuda.
En la parte baja del sexto capítulo, Danny Ortiz apretó juego con doblete al derecho, sin embargo, Walter Ibarra se voló la barda, sin gente a bordo, en el séptimo rollo, para recuperar la ventaja de dos anotaciones.
El panorama se pintó de verde en la baja del séptimo capítulo, con racimo de cinco carreras, primero Peter O'Brien y Alejandro Mejía empataron el juego con doblete y sencillo, respectivamente, después aparecieron los jonrones, espalda con espalda, de Danny Ortiz y Antonio Lamas para devolverle la ventaja a los emplumados.
Sin embargo, quedaba historia por contar en el sexto juego de la serie, en la octava tanda, los peninsulares armaron ataque de seis anotaciones, primero respondió el emergente Lázaro Alonso con hit productor, después Josh Fuentes anotó al aprovechar un wild pitch de Yoimer Camacho, dos bateadores después, Art Charles remolcó su quinta carrera con sencillo al derecho, esto marcó la salida de Camacho, su lugar fue tomado por Vicente Campos, pero fue recibido con cuadrangular de tres carreras de José Martínez, esto le dio la ventaja definitiva a los peninsulares.
El triunfo se lo llevó Hunter Cervenka, en labor de relevo, a pesar de permitir par de jonrones. La derrota fue para Yoimer Camacho y el rescate para Jorge Rondón. Ahora los Leones enfrentarán a los Tigres de Quintana Roo y los Pericos de Puebla se medirán a los Diablos Rojos del México, a partir del sábado en la Ciudad de México.
