Baseball is a game of streaks, both good and bad.
The Phillies No. 4 prospect homered for the third straight game Sunday night, going deep twice and driving in four runs to lead Triple-A Lehigh Valley past visiting Louisville, 14-2, at Coca-Cola Park.
After seeing his average dip to .246 on May 16, Williams has been scorching hot. He has hit safely in 11 straight games, batting .386 with eight home runs and 19 RBIs during that stretch. The outfielder has driven in 15 runs in his last five games, nearly doubling the seven RBIs he had in 22 games during April.
"I would say I'm just being patient and realizing that I have time," Williams told MiLB.com on Saturday. "I would say the first month [of the season], I was just rushing and rushing to do so much. I really just let up on the gas and told myself to do less, and it's been working."

After striking out in the fifth, Williams followed Featherston's single with another two-run homer to right, giving him a season-high four RBIs for the second straight game. It was the sixth multi-homer performance of his career and his first since Aug. 5, 2015 with Double-A Reading.
"This is kind of the guy I envisioned when I first saw him when we got him in a trade in August of '15," Lehigh Valley manager Dusty Wathan told The Morning Call on Saturday night. "It's fun to watch him play when he's going like that."
