The Sox tacked on three more runs in the later innings to pull away for good. With the bases loaded and two out in the seventh inning, Ivan De Jesus drew a walk to score Orf and give the hosts a 4-1 lead. Garcia then added to his RBI total in the eighth inning, grounding a two-run single up the middle to score Colabello and Phillips to give the catcher three RBI.
The Sox hit the road for the next four days, playing six games against division-rival Iowa at Principal Park in Des Moines. RHP
