After flying out to left field in the first inning, Meadows plated Chris Bostick with a groundout to second in the third. MLB.com's No. 7 overall prospect flied to left again in the fifth before stepping to the plate with the bases loaded and one out in the sixth.
The Mud Hens had replaced starter
Despite entering with a .195 average, the left-handed hitting Meadows was batting .294 against southpaws in his first 21 games.
Meadows walked in the eighth and raised his slash line modestly to .198/.255/.267. He also stole his third base of the season. Despite the slow start, the Atlanta native has performed well against the Mud Hens. Of his 11 RBIs this season, eight have come against the Tigers' top affiliate.
As a team, Indianapolis set season highs in runs scored and hits (17) on Tuesday.
