Akron left-hander Luis Lugo allowed four hits, two runs, one of which was earned in six innings of work. Dating back to his last start on 7/21, the southpaw has given up only one earned run in his last 11 innings. In relief for the Ducks, Robbie Aviles entered and was the losing pitcher. He gave up one run on three hits in two innings of work. Binghamton's starter Corey Oswalt only gave up one run in six innings of work, which came on a solo homer from Eric Haase. Oswalt allowed five hits and struck out seven. Binghamton reliever Tim Peterson was the wining pitcher tossing two innings giving up one run on one hit. Binghamton closer Corey Burns picked up his 13th save of the season. However, Burns got himself into a jam with the tying run on third and winning run on first with two outs in the ninth.<o:p>

Akron's Eric Haase hit his team-leading 20th home run of the season, a solo shot to center in the first inning. Haase is tied for second in home runs in the Eastern League. Akron tied the game at two a piece in the seventh when shortstop Yu Chang hit a leadoff double and second basemen Tyler Krieger hit a sacrifice fly to score Chang. Akron threatened in the ninth when Bobby Bradley walked and Mike Papi singled to put runners on the corners with two outs. The next batter, Tyler Krieger, struck out to end the ballgame.<o:p>
