Portland, Maine – The Portland Sea Dogs (12-4, 42-43) defeated the Somerset Patriots (8-8, 52-33) by the score of 5-0 on Friday evening at Hadlock Field.

Austin Wells went 2-for-4 with a double in the game for Somerset.
Bryan Mata (1-0) struck out seven in five scoreless innings for the win. Mitch Spence (3-5) gave up four earned run on four hits in 3.2 innings to suffer the loss.
