PITCHING MATCHUP


Drew Anderson will be the first to take the hill for the Pigs against Tyler Alexander. The pitching matchup is presented by Allentown Family Foot Care, which provides the latest in medical and surgical treatments of the entire foot and ankle.
Drew Anderson gets the ball in game one against Toledo. Anderson did not pitch when the Pigs and Mud Hens met at Coca-Cola Park. On the season, he is 6-3 with a 4.19 ERA. Last time out against Buffalo he pitched six innings and allowed three hits. Alexander faced the Pigs in his Triple-A debut at Coca-Cola Park June 2. He went five innings and allowed six runs in a game that the Mud Hens won 8-7.


LAST GAME


Eshelman put together another strong start for the Pigs. He went 5 1/3 and allowed seven hits while recording six strikeouts. The Clippers runs came on a two-run home run by Eric Stamets in the bottom of the second inning. Jake Thompson and Héctor Neris provided 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief. Thompson allowed just one hit while Neris struck out two in his inning of work. 
Lehigh Valley's offense was limited to just four hits. Stephen Fife (4-5) allowed three hits over five innings while striking out five. The lone run for the IronPigs came on an RBI groundout by Matt McBride, which was set up by an Adron Chambers triple.


HEAD-TO-HEAD


Tonight begins the final regular season meeting between the Mud Hens and IronPigs. Toledo took two out of three from the Pigs when they came to Coca-Cola Park in June.
Last season, the Pigs and Mud Hens split their six-game season series with each team winning two out of three at home. The IronPigs have not lost a season series to the Mud Hens since 2010 when Toledo took three out of five from Lehigh Valley.

The IronPigs return home July 24 when they welcome the Gwinnett Stripers.
