PITCHING MATCHUP
De Los Santos goes for his 10th win of the year tonight. The IL ERA leader is 9-3 with a 2.51 in 18 starts. The righty is 1-0 against Syracuse tossing six-innings of two run ball in the Salt City. Valdez has appeared in three games against the Pigs and made one start. July 5 he allowed five runs including two home runs over 4 2/3 innings.
LAST GAME
A four-run top of the seventh lifted the Pigs to the 6-4 win in Buffalo. Lehigh Valley is now 26 games above .500 and recorded their 14 win of the year against Buffalo and finished 2018 6-1 at Coca-Cola Field.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Syracuse has taken two of three from the Pigs so far this season at Coca-Cola Park. Overall, the Pigs lead the season series with the Chiefs 6-4.
Lehigh Valley has won the last three season series against the Chiefs winning at least 10 games each season. Including tonight's matchup, the Pigs and Chiefs will play six more times this season.
